I obtained my PhD in Electrical Engineering (Power and Energy) and MSc (Eng.) in Electric Power and Energy Systems from the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN), Durban, South Africa; and BSc in Mechanical and a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Malawi. I have also a number of postgraduate certificates in Maintenance Engineering and Management (including Condition Based Maintenance), Climate Change Management obtained in South Africa (Climate Systems Analysis Group, University of Cape Town), Germany (Augsburg University of Applied Sciences), India (Indian Institute for Production Management), Japan (Japan International Cooperation Agency), and China (Teaching of Engineering in Polytechnics of Africa-Anglophone).

I am an Associate Professor of Engineering at the Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences (MUBAS). Prior to joining MUBAS, I worked for the Malawi Ministry of Works as a Regional Mechanical Engineer (South) and Acting Deputy National Director of Plant and Vehicle Hire Organization. I am a Registered Professional Engineer and a Member of the Engineering Institution of Malawi; and a Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) of the USA.

I have been serving at University of Malawi (UNIMA) as a Senate Representative for the then Malawi Polytechnic College (now Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences, [MUBAS]) since 2016.

I am interested in Energy Systems, Infrastructure Management and Education; hence, the Boards I would be interested to serve in include one of the following: MERA, NOCMA, EGENCO, ESCOM, and Water Boards.
