Dr. Sane Zuka
PhD, International Development
Dr. Sane Zuka is Social Scientist whose work focuses on theories and practices real estate and economic development in developing countries and particularly the debates around democratic governance and community empowerment in Southern African. He holds a PhD in International Development from the University of Edinburgh, MSc in Real Estate from University of Reading, MA in Development Studies and Bachelor of Education from University of Malawi. Sane Zuka is Senior Lecturer at Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences, School of Built Environment where he teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Real Estate/Urban Economics, Real Estate Finance, Investment and Appraisal, Development Economics, and Agrarian Studies. Sane Zuka’s research is rooted in the theories of democratic governance, political economy, institutional economics and social capital economic. The long-term focus of Dr. Sane Zuka’s research is to understand how economic and political systems can deliver fair outcomes for the different groups of people, including the most marginalised populations. In addition to academic research and engagement, Dr. Sane Zuka is actively involved in consultancy work for the public and private sector. His email contact is szuka@poly.ac.mw.
