Biography & Background

Rosemary Nyamwera is a land management professional with a demonstrated history in engineering surveying and geoinformatics. A Lecturer in Engineering Surveying at the Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences (MUBAS). One who is proficient in Data management and Machine learning techniques in R and Python, SPSS, Remote sensing and GIS analytics in QGIS and ArcGIS Pro, holding a bachelor’s degree in Land Management (Land Surveying) from Mzuzu University.

Before joining MUBAS, Rose also worked as an Engineering Surveyor at Northworks Limited working on Katoto Access roads in Mzuzu and Effluent plant foundations in Dwangwa, and a Research Assistant at MOKAHA Consult. Her roles in the outlined projects included setting out roads, buildings, box and pipe culverts, inspecting survey works for quality control, and collecting data across communities for the preparation of Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) report
