Biography & Background
Million has a Master of Philosophy in Electrical Engineering from Strathclyde University in the United Kingdom. He is now pursuing a PhD in renewable energy (RE) at the University of Malawi. His research interest is integrating the internet of things (IoT) and machine learning into solar PV power generation forecasting to enable dynamic energy pricing. Million has extensive teaching and training expertise in electrical, telecommunications, and RE. Most of his practical work has been in the electrical energy audit and the design and installation of sustainable off-grid community-based solar PV systems, including a 290 kW solar farm for Malawi University Business and Applied Sciences – Chichiri campus. Million has also been creating and deploying IoT technologies that enable remote monitoring of off-grid solar PV installations and environmental conditions.
