Research Interests
good corporate governance and compliance management, the interlinkage of ethics and law, whistleblowing and confidentiality, economic criminal law, leniency policies, reform of criminal sanctions for upholding human rights, health and public health law, empirical legal research.

Eva Maria Mfutso Bengo is a lecturer for law and researcher.
She teaches modules in Corporate Law, Environmental and Public Health Law. Previously she held courses on Health Law, Global Health Law and Ethics, Business Law, General Principles of Law and Land Law.
Being familiar with both the German-continental law tradition and the Malawian-Commonwealth law tradition the expertise of this academic scholar is enriched by a comparative law perspective.
She studied at the University of Regensburg (Germany) and University of Uppsala (Sweden). She has been working with MUBAS (Malawi) since 2004 and is pursuing a PhD in law (doctor juris) supervised by FernUniversität Hagen (Germany) on economic criminal law reform.
