Mrs. Chisomo Thaulo

Chisomo is a dynamic Environmental Health specialist who has interest in Infection prevention and control (IPC). She assists in lecturing food safety and hygiene, meat hygiene, nutrition and food security, research methods and vector control modules at the Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences. She also has experience in training food handlers about food safety and Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS). She is also experienced in grant application writing, research designing, designing and translating both qualitative and quantitative data collection tools, collecting and managing both qualitative and quantitative data. She has worked with a number of research centers and consulting firms for example the Centre for Water Sanitation Health & Appropriate Technology Development (WASHTED) a research institution at Malawi University of Applied Sciences (MUBAS), the Center for Health Agriculture and Development Research and Consulting and KLAS Research Engine, where she developed her passion in research and her skills in research and translation of documents. She is currently working with the department of Public and Environmental Health Sciences as a Lecturer.
