Borgestein is a dedicated engineer with a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. He started from a technician level with a certificate, he has progressively advanced and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Sustainable Energy.

Within the professional scope his research interests encompasses a broad spectrum, including Nano-electronics, Bioinstrumentation, Wireless Power Transmission, Sustainable Energy Solutions, and Energy Regeneration Techniques. His enthusiasm lies in utilizing technology to address sustainable challenges and drive innovation across these domains.
