Bernadetta is a staff associate for biological sciences in the department of Physics and Biochemical Sciences (PBS) (Food science section) . She graduated with a bachelor's degree in Education Sciences from the University of Malawi- Chancellor College in 2014. She once taught at secondary schools before joining the university (MUBAS) in 2018. She is currently pursuing a master's degree in Biochemistry at University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
