Biography & Background

I am a researcher and academic with research interests in Data Representation, Visual Informatics, Edge AI, the application of Vision-Language Models (VLMs) and Large Language Models (LLMs) in Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), and Natural Language Processing (NLP). I obtained an MSc in Data Science, specialising in Data Mining from the University of Rwanda in 2026 and a BSc (Hons) in Electronics and Computer Engineering from the University of Malawi through its constituent college, Malawi Polytechnic (now the Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences), in 2023. My career has been research-oriented since completing my undergraduate studies, beginning as a Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing Researcher at KAILAB, followed by roles as a Data Scientist at the National Health Intelligence Center (NHIC) within Rwanda’s Ministry of Health and on the UNICEF-funded Immunisation Supply Chain System Redesign Evaluation project, implemented collaboratively by the University of Rwanda’s College of Medicine and Health Sciences, the Rwanda Biomedical Centre (RBC), and the EAC Regional Centre of Excellence for Vaccines, Immunisation and Health Supply Chain Management. I currently serve as a Part-Time Tutor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, combining my interests in research, technology and higher education.
